The rapid growth experienced meant that Dura Composites were facing typical challenges for a business of this size. There were several departments that were not working together effectively, with ‘Morale’ at a low point. Many working within the production department were ‘friends of friends’, a recruitment pattern that was impacting worker performance.
Park City got the fundamentals in place with new policies and procedures for both HR and Health and Safety. These foundations were needed before addressing the more deep-seated cultural issues. Park City quickly helped introduce a full suite of health and safety policies and procedures at Dura Composites, and their consultants helped with risk assessments. Health and safety had been a complex area within the organisation until the arrival of Park City’s Health and Safety consultants, who enabled the company to make the necessary changes.
Then the decision was made to invest in developing the company culture. This determination and focus to deliver a highly positive culture was based around the Directors belief that PRIDE would make the company stronger and more successful in the long term. With Park City there to support and guide when needed, Dura Composites has gone on to be a place where staff are all proud to work, are encouraged to learn and grow together to deliver exceptional quality every day.
