January 2016 - New legislation to give workers the right to ban exclusivity clauses in zero hour contracts
March 2016 - New rules for obtaining regulatory references for the financial sector
April 2016 - Statutory maternity pay, statutory paternity pay, statutory shared parental pay and statutory adoption pay to be frozen at 2015/16 rate of £139.58 per week. Statutory sick pay will also be frozen at £88.45 per week.
April 2016 - Employers NIC’s abolished for apprentices under 25
April 2016 - Compulsory "Living Wage" introduced for workers over 25
April 2016 - Increased penalties for those found not to be paying at least National Minimum Wage.
Expected 2016 - Changes to the tax free element of termination payments
Expected 2016 - Introduction of mandatory Gender Pay Gap Reporting regulations
Expected 2016 - Implementation of the Trade Union Bill which reforms the rules on trade union ballots for taking industrial action.
