Welcome to Park City’s first newsletter of 2016. It's amazing to think we're nearly two months into the year already and have HR and Health & Safety updates coming out of our ears! The powers that be certainly like to keep us on our toes, but hopefully we're making the process of integrating legislation changes into your handbooks and policies as smooth and painless as possible for you. That's what we're here for after all!
Two very hot topics at the moment are the new National Living Wage and the introduction of Gender Pay Gap Reporting. It will be interesting to see how these will effect small businesses and whether it will leave them exposed to criticism and legal action if they don't comply with the new legislation. Keep an eye out over the coming months for details of how we can work with you to put together a Job Evaluation Scheme that will help with the requirements for Gender Pay Gap Reporting. Finally, on a personal note I would like to say good bye and good luck to one of our long standing Health & Safety consultants, David Spurgeon, who retired at the very end of 2015.
