Recovery from the impact of the pandemic will take time and the latest announcement from the Government is aimed at helping aid business recovery and the overall economy. The Chancellor has announced further incentives linked to the Job Retention Scheme in addition to sector-specific support to get the Economy “kick started”

On the the 8th July 2020, the government made an announcement concerning its support to businesses, employees and the alike to help reboot the economy following the Coronavirus Lockdown. This is part of its package of Coronavirus support measures.

During Rishi Sunak’s statement, he provided details on several schemes the government would be introducing over the coming months. These included help within the hospitality sector, apprentices and the general workforce as a whole. Below are further details on each scheme and what it may mean for employers.
