The government confirms that there will be a rise in the National Minimum Wage as of October this year.
The new National Minimum Wage will increase to £6.50 an hour as recommended by the independent Low Pay Commissioner.
The increase in pay will mean that more than one million employees could see their wages increase by as much as £355 a year.
